We are crowdfunding for this book project! Target: S$5,000 

We are working with Graceworks and a host of contributors to bring together this book for the Singapore Church. 

​

This book seeks to give voice to victims of sexual assault within the Singapore Church and consider ways the Church can respond rightly and minister well in such cases.

We are conducting a crowdfunding campaign with the aim of raising S$5,000 (50 kind donors X average $100) so that we can give a complimentary copy to every church / lead pastor in Singapore. To be clear, any amount of donation is welcome!

We hope this would resource churches to walk well with victims of sexual assault within the church.

What is this book about? 

 

​Whether you’re a pastor or church leader needing to handle a sexual assault case for the first time, or a lay person who wants to help someone you know, or if you’d like to equip your church community to be a safe space for who have been shattered by sexual violence, this book is for you. 

 

The book will address, among other things:

• Stories of victims/survivors and accompanying experts’ reflections. It will unpack issues relating to sexual assault such as trauma, victim blaming, and power dynamics. 

• A biblical response to sexual assault. There will be pastoral and practical suggestions on the journey of healing for victims/survivors, including first responses, community responses, advocates' roles, legal options, lament, forgiveness, reconciliation & restoration. 

• Safeguarding the young in the church: pastoral, practical and policy approaches. 

• Stories and practical suggestions on how churches may minister to victims/survivors, work to restore perpetrators, navigate legal issues, develop policies and foster a church culture which facilitates safety against sexual assault.
